Road Trip to Serenity
It is a bit of a drive to get to the closest beaches from Knoxville, expect approximately a 6 hour drive. With most of the trip being on Interstates 40, 26 and 95, it’s a relatively easy drive to Fripp Island. Fripp Island Resort will be waiting to welcome you and embrace you with comfort and fun.

A Day at the Beach
As we mentioned earlier, Knoxville offers a lot to people who live there, but the one thing it doesn’t offer is the opportunity to enjoy a day at the beach. Relax with a good book, letting the sounds of the surf act as musical accompaniment or spend mornings building sandcastles with your tiny travelers, making memories that will never be forgotten, especially if you take plenty of pictures of your temporary architecture. It’s hard to stay away from the water during a Fripp Island getaway and when you realize that there are some prime fishing spots on the island, it will be even more difficult to keep your distance, should you be trying.
