The Racquet Club

The Racquet Club offers six Fast-Dry clay tennis courts and 12 pickleball courts, along with a full schedule of seasonal activities and round-robin tournaments. Join us for tennis and pickleball fun during your stay, with options for private and semi-private lessons as well as scheduled clinics to help you sharpen your game. Pickleball is a favorite pastime at Fripp Island, with 12 permanent courts at the Resort Racquet Club. Perfect for casual games or competitive play, our pickleball program offers lessons, clinics, and round robins throughout the week, led by a skilled pro. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, you'll find fun, social, and exciting opportunities to enjoy this popular sport during your stay!

Meet Your Director

Director of Racquets,  Jess Jones joined the team at Fripp Island Resort as our Director of Racquets in 2026 and we are thrilled to have him bringing his experience, energy, and passion for racquet sports to the island. Over the past several years, he has fully immersed himself in coaching & competing in pickleball. Adults:

Stroke of the Day
  • One of our most popular instructional programs for adults (Ages 17 and up). Professional instructors select a variety of demanding drills for players seeking to improve specific areas of their game. Check the weekly calendar for each days selected stroke. 
Daily Drills
  • Another popular program that features a combination of stroke production and match play drills (Ages 17 and up). 
Saturday Morning Adult Clinic
  • This is our weekend special for all levels of participants and is designed to combine the various areas of tennis covered during our weekly clinics. Play is structured around the skill levels of the players involved. 

Juniors:

Hot Shots

  • Offered seasonally.
Future Stars, Ages 7-9
  • Offered seasonally.

Juniors, Ages 10-16

  • Offered seasonally.

Attire:

Please wear flat-soled shoes Tennis shoes and appropriate tennis attire. Running shoes, bathing suits, cutoffs, exercise apparel and/or tube tops are not permitted. Men must wear shirts at all times while they are on the court and are not allowed to wear tank tops.
