Let me start by saying we had a fantastic time on this island. Seeing the deer wondering around everywhere never gets old. I love that you can just park the car and use a golf cart the entire stay. The location is great to the beach and two pools are within walking distance. There are many other pools that you can get to with your golf cart or car. Every evening we would drive to the furthest point of the island where there would be a huge sandbar and watch the sunset. Absolutely breathtaking. Now to the villa. We were a little disappointed. When we came in there were 3 dead bugs on the floor. Throughout the stay we saw many many more bugs. I would definitely recommend spraying or spraying more often. The rooms upstairs have individual A/C units which struggle to keep the rooms cool during the hot day. The A/C unit down stairs is so incredibly loud when it kicks on in the bedroom. If you are a light sleeper it will wake you up everytime. The villa just needs a good deep clean. We will definitely be back to Fripp Island but we will be looking for another place to stay. Finally, I wanted to say that the staff at Fripp Island resort were always so nice and helpful. We even arrived 30 minutes early and they went ahead and unlocked to door so we could get in and start our fun!
