Located at 101 Tom and Mike Road, Camelot Farms Equestrian Center sits on Saint Helena Island in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Saint Helena is an island full of history and beauty and is home to a culture that has existed for hundreds of years. We at Camelot Farms wish to promote and maintain this agricultural way of life on our 62-acre farm.
Saint Helena is 20 minutes south of Beaufort, SC's downtown area. Our Farm is located between Dataw and Fripp Islands and only five miles from Hunting Island State Park. Many tourists find their way to our beautiful island to vacation and visit the many historical sites in the area. The timeless beauty of the winding roads draped with moss covered trees makes a perfect setting for a horseback ride. Many movie production companies have chosen our romantic island settings. Camelot Farms is proud to have provided both locations and fine trail horses to the film industry.
Here at Camelot Farms we offer a variety of services including trail rides, rider training, boarding, and more. Our Plantation or Coastline Ride is a lovely way to experience the Lowcountry. Need beginning lessons before that adventure? No problem, we instruct adults and children.
Camelot Farms Equestrian Center Services
Camelot Farms Equestrian Center currently offers two exciting trail rides. Choose to travel on the plantation trail or down the beautiful coastline along the Saint Helena Sound. The coastline excursion is the only beach ride offered year-round in the greater area. During this ride, all guests experience the beautiful sights and sounds of the serene beach front. The plantation trail ride meanders down moss-draped streets lined with majestic Lowcountry oaks. Pony rides are available for children of 7 years or younger; these rides are a great way to expose and gently ease future equestrians into the sport at an early age. All of Camelot’s trail rides provide a unique recreation opportunity for horse lovers, history buffs, and nature lovers alike.

Our boarders enjoy the use of our brand new covered arena, our 125 by 250 foot outdoor jump ring, dressage arena, two 60 foot round pens as well as the numerous trails on the farm. Saint Helena Sound is an easy ride from Camelot and a lot of fun awaits the horses and the riders alike as they go for a dip in the water, especially on the warm summer days.
We offer pasture and stall boarding. Our stalls are 12 x 12, with mats, fans and a central fly spray system. All horses, whether in a stall or pasture, are fed twice daily with quality grains and hay. We maintain a good stand of fertilized grass in our pastures and limit the number of horses on each to insure that quality. Our greatest priority is to make sure that all of the horses on site with us have everything they need to feel comfortable and secure. We assure every owner that their horses will always have a welcoming home away from home here with us at Camelot Farms.
We are pleased to offer lessons to all here at Camelot Farms. Lessons will be offered and available to both children and adults. The instructors on site are trained professionals very knowledgeable in horses and the sport of horseback riding as a whole. The instructors are well equipped to help any and all first time riders get the bearings in the sport. The instructors are also more than prepared to assist those more skilled riders wishing to begin their dressage with more advanced lessons. Wherever you may fall amongst this wide variety of skill levels, we welcome and encourage you to sign up for a lesson with us today.
Our training has focused on delivering kindness through our methods of execution since the start of our work many years ago. Learning the meaning behind the mannerisms of the horses we are working with is essential to understand how to interact with them in the most effective and successful way. Respect is always administered in our teachings to establish a secure and mutually appreciated relationship between the teacher and the animals. This helps the trainers gently teach the horses in the most useful and strategic way. Along with this, strong schooling and groundwork both in the round pen and out is very important at Camelot Farms.
Camelot Farms Equestrian Center is proud to offer the finest equestrian facility in the area, with 62 acres bordering on the marshes of the Atlantic Ocean. The farm includes an extensive range of area for guests to enjoy trail rides amongst. This area allows for quick rides through the beautiful beaches of Saint Helena Sound year round, as well as rides through the historical dirt roads of the old Coffin Point Plantation. Aside from the trails, our facilities contain comfortable stables with pastures and stalls for the horses to reside in and inhabit happily. Through every part of our facility here at Camelot, we aim to maintain the perfect location for our staff, guests, and horses to all enjoy cohesively.
