This unit does not have had much investment in upkeep over the years. Fixtures, furnishings and carpet are dated, I mean from the 80's, and worn. The unit shows signs of water entry around the master bathroom window, as paint is cracked, and drywall has bubbles underneath the paint. Ceiling drywall seams are cracked in a few places, one in the master bedroom and one upstairs which is very bad. Cracks and buckling in walls along with noticeably uneven floors seem to indicate the unit is settling. There is no overhead lighting in the living room, and the two lamps on either side of the sofa don't provide enough light for reading. The complex itself appears run down with rotting wood in the common areas, and cracks and exposed rusting re-bar in the structural supports in the parking area beneath the building (scary). I understand maintenance of these common areas is the responsibility of the property owners association, but Fripp Island Hospitality should have higher standards for the properties which are in their rental inventory. While the location of the unit provides great views, the quality of the unit overshadows it by far. I will say that when I advised Fripp Island Hospitality of a burned out light bulb in the master bathroom, they quickly took care of it.
Thank you for your feedback! We love hearing the great things about the units are working with the property owners on the potential upgrades you have mentioned. We appreciate you sharing your experience with us.Posted: 1/16/2025
