Description Description
Solaia (pronounced so- lī- ya), is of Italian origin and means a place where the energy of the sun radiates. 475 Tarpon Boulevard demonstrates, in real-life, the real estate adage of: location, location, location! Solaia truly provides the best of both worlds: quick and easy access to both the canal and to the beach.

Solaia appeals to individuals and families who enjoy the endless possibilities of access to a private pier and a private floating dock at the rear of the house. A recently installed KayaArm on the dock, provides ease and stability for embarking on trips via kayak or paddle board (available for rental drop-off and pick up by various local shops) to explore the canal or Fripp marshes. Guests have reported dolphin sightings and have also enjoyed fishing and crabbing directly from the dock.

Fripp Beach Access #29 is just steps away from Solaia's front steps. The proximity of the beach to Solaia means you do not need to use a golf cart to drive to the beach and you also need not lug loads of beach gear to and from the beach (unless, of course, you want to)! If the family gets hungry during their beach adventures, they can just walk back to the house, shower off the sand in Solaia's outdoor shower and prepare lunch in the kitchen. If more beaching is desired, it is just steps away! Fripp beach water is so warm, you could swim and boogie board for hours!

Quick and easy access to canal and beach also means you have access to the renowned, spectacular low country sunrises and sunsets! The screened porch at the rear of the house provides a cozy setting for viewing if guests don't want to walk to the dock or have difficulty walking. There is also a front porch with rocking chairs where guests enjoy views of the ocean and gaze at the stars and moon at night. Fripp is an outdoor enthusiast's (including golf and tennis, of course!), beach-lover's, nature-lover's, photographer's and history buff's paradise. There is just so much to do and see!

I ha e had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful home twice now. Fripp Island is a hidden gem as is this house. The proximity to the beach is amazing and the house itself has everything you need. The accommodations are great. The kitchen and living rooms are great for gathering as is the screened in porch. The kitchen was well stocked with great new pits and pans and enough plates and dishes. The spice rack was full of great spices just in case you forget yours. I highly recommend this house and I know you will not be disappointed. The owners are accessible and very friendly. Enjoy a little slice of heaven on earth.

We spent a wonderful week on Fripp Island. Our grandson was graduating from Marine Corps training on Paris Island and we wanted to make it a vacation week with the family. This home was perfect. It was right across the street from the beach for morning walks. The rear of the house sits on a lagoon that dumps into the bay. We tried our luck at fishing but not much biting in the off season. The home had everything be needed and was a person size for three couples with room to spare. We loved having the electric gulf cart to scoot around and explore this lovely island. There were deer everywhere. We found some nice restaurants only 20-30 minutes away. A lot of the restaurants on the island were close I guess being the off season. I’m sure this place comes alive during the peak season but for us we just loved the peace and quiet. If you love the beach and the water this home is a perfect spot to spend a week or two.

We have vacationed in Fripp for several years and this home as been the absolute best. With the ocean just steps away and a private dock and screened in porch, this house has it all. The rooms are spacious and fun for kids with T.V.s in every room. The beds are comfortable and plenty of pillows are available. I especially liked having so many showers and the outdoor shower for getting cleaned up after a fun day on the beach. The games in the garage were a huge hit for our children, especially on a rainy day. There were crayons, markers, books, and puzzles for the kids to enjoy. I also really like that there is a washer and dryer (a necessity when traveling with young children). I would give this home more than 5 stars if I could, especially because Mia has been so generous and helpful. We look forward to many more stays at Solaia!

My husband Brian and I stayed at 475 Tarpon Blvd with our 3 month old son for a week and it was heaven on earth! Exactly what we needed to get out of a busy city! The house is in excellent condition and comfortable for a handful of family members to stop in for a few days at a time to meet our new baby. We were there in May and the weather was perfect. We spent each morning having coffee on the front porch in rocking chairs, watching the sun come up over the ocean. We had dinners on the back porch watching the sun set over the marsh. The beach was literally a stone throw away and there was hardly anyone on it. The kitchen was spacious and perfect for gathering family around and cooking together. There are a few grocery stores within a 30-40 min radius which were convenient to get to, and the store on the island has anything else you may have forgotten. We have an electric vehicle so the EV charger they recently had installed was incredibly convenient. There were also a number of charming local restaurants which were delicious for when we opted not to cook. Overall, we had a WONDERFUL and relaxing time. The house is beautiful and well-kept. HIGHLY recommend for any family looking for a little bit of zen to break up the daily grind.

I am in love!! This is a perfect spot for couples with young kids. We needed time to enjoy each other, and we were not disappointed. The beach is so convenient, and not too far away to sneak away at sunrise. Sunsets from the back porch were amazing. The house has the feel of family love, and we will be back soon!!! Thank you for sharing this small piece of paradise with us!!

This house along with Fripp Island are hidden gems. The house is great and the location can not be beat. The dock and canal in the back are amazing and the beach which you can see from the front porch is right there. I will admit I am not a beach person and picked this house for my kids. I am a total convert now. Each morning I would wake up and walk the beach and get in my six miles. Watching the sun come up over the horizon and watching and listening to the waves was pure heaven. We spent about 3-5 hours each day hanging on the beach playing frisbee, football, boogie boarding, body surfing or just sotting and chatting in the water. By the way the water was so warm and inviting. We would then go back and hang out on the back screened in porch or sit on the rocking chairs up front. We made dinners in the kitchen and hung out as a family in the great space. This house which is perfectly located and perfectly laid out. This was our home for 7 days. The owners have a beautiful home and again this house and Island are hidden gems. I highly recommend this home.

We really enjoyed our relaxing stay at Solaia and would most certainly stay again. The location is amazing...steps from the beach and the beautiful canal out back. We spent a large amount of time on the front porch, rocking and enjoying the breezes. The sunsets from the dock were stunning as well. The layout of the home worked so well with our guests and we had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy both indoors and out. Being a Beaufort local, we know that Fripp is such a special place and think this home is a gem not to be missed!

I am 54, and have been vacationing at Fripp Island since I was very young, and this house is by far my most favorite that I have stayed in! There were many things I loved about this house, but my top two were the beach access right across the street and the beautiful canal with dock right out the back door! The beach access was seriously a hop, skip and jump from the ocean. We were out the front door in the mornings to spend the day by the ocean, and out the back door in the evenings to enjoy fishing and BREATHTAKING sunsets!! Solaia had EVERYTHING my family needed for the perfect vacation. I would choose this house again and again! Trust me, you want to book it now!❤️❤️

We had a wonderful time at Solaia (475 Tarpon Blvd) on Fripp island! The house is absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the screened porch, eating, reading, and watching deer wander by. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a variety of meals. The living room and bedrooms were comfortable and perfect for relaxing after adventures. We took daily walks on the beach - right across the street! - explored Fripp by golf-cart and bike, and paddle boarded up and down the canal. We hiked around Hunting Island, just outside of Fripp, and climbed up the Hunting Island Lighthouse. We also went on a guided horseback ride along the beach at a nearby equestrian center. Our stay was fun and rejuvenating, and we highly recommend vacationing at Solaia!

Where to begin?! This was our first Fripp experience, upon arrival we loved the resort experience going on to the island. The home is even more beautiful in person! We were WOW’d at the location! Best by far! Beach is steps away off the driveway (easy to wake up and carry things right to the beach), and the private dock behind the house was gorgeous! We took paddle boards out off the dock (easily) with Mia’s recommendation, and had an absolute blast! Be on the look out in the backyard! You’ll see friendly deer from the screened porch (with our morning coffee!) We took rides around the island on our golf cart, and walks on the beach everyday! For our stay, hardly anyone was there, it felt like our private beach! Mia’s home is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and has all the ‘touches’ to feel like a home. We will definitely be back! Fripp now has a piece of our hearts!

Our second stay at Solaia (475 tarpon) was Valentine's day weekend although the weather didn't cooperate (rain, fog, gray skies and chilly) nothing could dull this homes shine! We loved after returning from chilly golf cart rides exploring the island to this warm home, that frankly just feels like a big HUG! This time we were two families sharing the space and again the layout is just perfect for an adults "wing" and a kids "wing". We gathered every night around the gorgeous big kitchen table for yummy meals and plenty of games and laughter! We went to the nature ctr for animal feeding time and that was fun and educational! Some of our NJ family tried boiled peanuts from the Springtide Market for the first time EVER! We love fripp so much and this house is our fave!!!! Thanks again for a safe cozy landing space.

This house is so amazing I would stay here again in a heartbeat! We stayed for thanksgiving week with my family and my parents. The layout is simply perfect for the adults and one end and the kids at another. The decor is simply perfect - understated beachy elegance. Terrific gentle tones - earthy and SUPER COMFORTABLE! So many places to relax. The cozy living room, the large kitchen table (where many games were played!), the screen porch was perfect for morning coffee, the front porch was the ideal spot for an afternoon cocktail and to watch the comings and goings of Fripp's only traffic the golf carts heading to see the sunset down at the end of Tarpon. The private dock behind the house is where we fished, paddle boarded and took some family photos on Thanksgiving. I can't get over the beach access that is LITERALLY across the street. It was so easy!! We set up a beautiful outdoor safe thanksgiving dinner under the house. We even watched football in the driveway and played cornhole. We used every square inch of this property! The attention to detail was amazing down to lots of extension cords in the bedrooms to charge your phones etc. Love the comfy beds and the kitchen was so well stocked! Can't wait to come back!! Hoping to even send some groups of ladies to stay at 475 Tarpon because it would be the perfect house for a Girls Getaway Weekend! (insta - @girlsgetawayweekends) Couldn't have enjoyed working with the owner anymore - she is delightful!!!!!!!!!

We recently had the pleasure of staying on Fripp island (475 Tarpon blvd) and we had the best time!! We had never been to Fripp before and this place blew away our vacation expectations! This house is in the perfect location with the marsh right off the back of the house and literally being steps away from the beach off the front porch! It was the best of both worlds!! We had so much fun crabbing, fishing, relaxing, going to the beach and riding around in our golf cart exploring the adorable island that is Fripp! There was a great restaurant right on the island- Bonito Boathouse that had amazing seafood options! If you've never been to Fripp I highly suggest checking it out and this fantastic beach home will not disappoint! We can't wait to come back and visit in the future!

We returned to this wonderful home for our second consecutive year. It has EVERYTHING we need- a beautiful and uncrowded beach across the street, and the private dock in the back. Lots of fishing and crabbing from the dock, and last year a dolphin even swam by! The house is beautifully furnished and has everything you could possibly need. The best spot is the screened in porch overlooking the canal - can’t wait to return!

Our family has been vacationing at Fripp for almost 20 years and have stayed in a number of different houses. We wanted the opportunity to be very close to the ocean front and also have access to the creek and 475 Tarpon was the perfect location for us. We had a total of 8 people between my wife, our two daughters (7 and 5), my sister and brother-in-law and my mom and dad. The house laid out perfectly for us and gave us the best of both worlds having the boardwalk beach access right across the street, which was not only convenient but very accessible for my parents, but we also had the dock on the creek where we spent hours fishing and crabbing. You have the beauty of the sunrise and the majesty of the sunset all within a short walk from the front to the back of the house. I discovered 475 Tarpon via Instagram the summer before we rented the house and Mia was so helpful with connecting us to the Fripp staff and answering questions. The interior of the house was done so nicely but when we are at Fripp, we spend the majority of our time on either the front porch or the back porch and 475 Tarpon had both. This house is top of our list when we look to schedule our next Fripp Trip! Such great memories made!

My mother and father (Tim Brouillette) rented the home for a long weekend and invited my husband, my son and myself!! We had an amazing time! It was wonderful to have the beach access right across the street. You have 2 different experiences: beach in the front and marsh/wildlife in the back. The view of the stars from the front porch is beautiful!! We will definitely rent again, especially since we are local!!
