Fripp Island Activities & Events

Easter brings the first big holiday of the year and with it comes the arrival of sunny spring weather. If the summer heat isn’t for you but you enjoy the beach and all the Fripp activities, then this might be the perfect holiday for you. Easter at Fripp is all about family and spending quality time together on vacation. Holiday weekend mornings, you can have Fripp's very own Easter Bunny hand-deliver Easter baskets to your door for a special treat that will be remembered for years to come. Afterward, celebrate with breakfast with the Easter Bunny at The Beach Club. We serve a traditional Easter brunch at the Beach Club Restaurant, and finish out the festivities with our Egg Hunt on the Ocean Creek Driving Range.

Memorial Day weekend is the beginning of the summer season at Fripp Island and it is certainly a great weekend to come down and enjoy the beach. The weather has warmed and so has the ocean, making for great beach days with friends and family. Kick-off the summer with our busy summer schedule or catch the big one in our Memorial Day Fishing Tournament!

The biggest week on Fripp is undoubtedly the week of July Fourth. Our Calendar of activities doubles in size making for an action-packed week if you so choose to participate. Our tournaments, in particular, tend to draw a lot of attention, from Giant Beer Pong to the Sand Sculpture Competition, there is an activity for every member of the family to compete in.

One thing you don’t want to miss is the Fourth of July Golf Cart Parade. Participants decorate their carts in a patriotic theme or a new theme picked every year. This year is "Family Game Parade"! If you don’t have a golf cart then don’t worry, many of our properties come with a cart or one can be rented through our excursions office. Grab a chair and umbrella from the beach hut and wrap up the afternoon with "Salute from the Shore" - a military jet/plane flyover that starts in Myrtle Beach and comes right over our beach. The celebrations conclude with our magnificent annual fireworks show!

The Fourth on Fripp is an experience to say the least and, while busy, it is easy to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax. Many of our rentals are situated off the beaten path of Fripp and provide natural secluded beauty that gives you your own personal escape. The best part is you can hop on the golf cart and in a short time be in the center of it all if you so choose.

Labor Day Weekend signals the end of Summer but the fun continues on Fripp Island! The weather is still perfect for great beach days with friends and family. Wrap up the summer with our busy summer schedule or catch the big one in our Labor Day Kingfish Tournament! Live music at The Sandbar each night.

Thanksgiving on Fripp Island is a magical time for the entire family! With events starting on Monday, we truly have something for everyone throughout the week!
